Let’s set the record straight, “My Sister’s Keeper” is not a true story, regardless of what you may have heard. The only thing true about this story is that there are families out there that have one sick child and one child that is able to help save the life of that sick child. This is a film in which the fictitious characters statement at the end of the credits really needs to be there.
The film is contrived and tugs at the strings of your heart. Once you get past the crude human nature in the film, it is actually a decent film.
